Along the way is Kabale – branded as the Switzerland of Africa with long meandering roads, rolling fields and valleys. The landscape scenery is magnificent. DAY 2 | GORILLA TREKKING | MEAL PLAN: HB
Today you take a walk through this gigantic rain forest in search for the mountain gorillas. Do not forget to carry your lunch box from the hotel of stay because lunch-time mostly comes when in the forest.

The gorilla trekking is preceded by a briefing usually at 7;30 am where you will be told of the do’s and don’ts and also allotted a ranger plus armed guards in addition to being divided into small groups of 8. It is at this point that you will be handed walking sticks and also asked if you might need to engage a porter.

By 8; 30 am the long awaited trek begins. The duration of this walk entirely depends on how far the gorillas have wandered off on a particular day. Most of the trek is between uphill climbs and the downhill treks. It can be slippery, unclear and the flooring of vines and forest foliage is deceitful.

Upon meeting the gorillas, you are allowed strictly 1 hour to watch them relate, take fantastic photographs (Please flashes off) and great entertainment by the juveniles if any.
Tips; clients need to be in reasonably good shape for the walk.
