At 06.00, meet and greet from your residence in Kampala for a transfer to Mabamba bay. The birding experience at Mabamba is by use of a local canoe in search of the rather famous and iconic shoebill stork. Other interesting bird species here include; African Jacana, Papyrus Gonolek, Pallid Harrier, White-winged Warbler, Blue Swallow etc. The overwhelming birding experience in Mabamba is not only at the swamp but along the way; there are also other birding spots. Thereafter, transfer to the Equator for lunch and also, for photo shots and buying souvenirs for loved ones from typical handmade African craftshops.
