The journey is swift with induction to the rural parts of Uganda. Finally, you will arrive in the afternoon just in time for Lunch. You have an option to go hiking to the top of the world, from whence you will have stunning views of crater lakes in the area. Speaking, this activity supports a small section of locals hence improving their livelihood.

Activity One: This morning, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in their natural habitat which is by far the best place to see these primates. This is your first chance to get up close to our closest relative in the animal kingdom. Spend the whole morning in the forest returning to the lodge in time for Lunch.
Activity Two: Later in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity for a guided walk through Bigodi Swamp. This swamp is home to approximately 137 bird species and it’s also rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polita figs, and the dominant papyrus.
Stays: Turaco Treetops, Guereza Canopy Lodge
You will depart Kibale and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon entry, you will have a game drive to accustom you to the park also known as the medley of wonders.
Queen Elizabeth is known as Uganda’s most accessible savannah park. It is bounded to the west by the Ishasha River and Lake Edward, to the East by Lake George, the Kyambura Gorge & Kalinzu Reserve, to the north by Kasese and the Rwenzori foothills, and finally to the south by the Kigezi Wildlife Reserve. You will have a short drive to the crater lakes before checking in at your accommodation.
Activity one: This morning, we will go for a game drive to the Kasenyi plains with the hope of finding lions having breakfast, and returning to the lodge in time for a nourishing breakfast.
Activity two: Time for the famous boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Chances of seeing Hippos huff and spray mere feet away from the boat are high, Buffalos linger in the shallows, and Elephants awarding the boat cruisers with their presence. The park is also known for its incredible variety of birds, like; African Jacana, Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Open-Billed Stork, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Malachite, and Pied Kingfishers. The day ends with Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
By now you are used to the early wakes and early breakfasts and today will not be any different. Your guide will drive to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth famed for the tree-climbing lions arriving at the camp in time for Lunch or just a little earlier. If the latter, you will have a game drive in search of the climbing lions. Relax during Lunch and later go for an evening game drive in the plains.
As we draw closer to the end of this wonderful journey, you will have one last game drive in QE National Park as we bid this lovely park goodbye for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Conclude this journey towards a rollercoaster horizon formed by cones of the Virunga volcanoes and with a magical one hour in the company of a mountain gorilla family!
Today we take a walk through this gigantic rainforest in search of the mountain gorillas. The gorilla trekking is preceded by a briefing usually at 7:30 am, and by 8:30 am the walk begins. The duration of the walk entirely depends on how far the gorillas have wandered off on a particular day. Upon meeting them, you are allowed 1 hour to earn their trust and document their behavior and beauty. We will then trek back to the starting point, but one cannot deny the unique experience that’s worth doing time and time again.
You will drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest Savanna park. However, before that, you can take part in optional activities before leaving Bwindi forest, like a boat trip on Lake Mutanda or a visit to the Batwa community. Alternatively, you can just have breakfast and head out to the next park. The choice is yours. Lake Mburo is an underrated gem of a park, dominated by wildlife with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland, and other savannah species that are rare or absent from other Uganda Parks.
After breakfast, have a game drive or an optional guided nature walk, and then proceed to Entebbe, making a stop to look at the Equator. The rest of the drive will take you to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to your next destination.
