Lake Albert region is seldom visited, it is not as popular as other reserves, however it has one of the most breathtaking views in Uganda including the majestic Blue Mountains of DRC. We have a chance to visit this region together with the famous Murchison Falls national Park.

Itinerary

DAY 1 | TRANSFER TO KABWOYA GAME RESERVE | MEAL PLAN: BB

At 7; 00 am we will meet with Dust Absolut representative at your hotel/guesthouse of stay for a pre-brief after which set off for western Uganda. Along the shores of Lake Albert is Kabwoya Game reserve; untapped, intact and popular for breathtaking views of the congo basin and wildlife species like Antelopes, small sized primates; colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys. All these we will have a chance to see on our early evening game walk upon arrival.

Return to lodge for an optional bush dinner and overnight

DAY 2 | TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NP | MEAL PLAN: HB

At 10;00 am we will relocate northwards to Uganda’s largest park, which is named after the Niles dramatic plunge through a narrow cleft in the rift valley scarp as it flows to Lake Albert. This park is home to a wide range of wildlife to include buffalos, giraffes, elephants, antelopes and various bird species.

Before we set off however, we will have a nature-walk in the reserve and this is made possible because it is predator free. We will be awarded with breathtaking views of the albertine rift valley escarpment with antelopes, warthogs and birds.

The day ends with Dinner and overnight at comfortable lodge.

DAY 3 | GAME DRIVE & BOAT RIDE | MEAL PLAN: HB

Activities for the day: Morning game drive and afternoon boat trip to the bottom of the falls.

This morning, we will proceed for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains. We will return later to the lodge of stay for a hearty breakfast. The 3,893 sq km park is home to a range of animals, and you will have a chance of viewing some of the Park’s residents.

In the afternoon take part in the River Nile boat cruise which goes right to the base of the falls where the Nile thunders through a small 7 meter gap plunging 43 meters down into the River Nile. There’s an option of getting off the boat and hiking to the top of the falls. The hike is fairly easy and the view from the top is well worth every effort

The day ends with Dinner and overnight at comfortable lodge.

DAY 4 | DEPARTURE | MEAL PLAN: BB

After breakfast, have a short game drive as we bid this beautiful park Goodbye and then proceed to Entebbe. The transfer is a smooth one. We will have a stopover for lunch en-route at ziwa rhino sanctuary, the only Rhino-natural habitat in Uganda.
