DAY 1 | ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE | MEAL PLAN: BB
Today you will arrive in Entebbe and depending on the arrival time, go to botanical garden which is the perfect introduction to the pearl of Africa, Uganda.

DAY 2 | BUDONGO FOREST | MEAL PLAN: HB
Meet your guide at the hotel/Lodge lobby and transfer to Budongo tropical Forest at the shores of Lake Albert. This protected area is known to have a considerable number of chimpanzees which are still ongoing a habituation process.

In addition, there are other primate species like baboons, monkeys. The forest is home to 23 mammal species, 225 bird species, and lots of tree species.

Upon arrival, take part in a forest walk in search of these primates.

The day ends with dinner and overnight at lodge/camp.

DAY 3 | MURCHISON FALLS NP | MEAL PLAN: HB
Murchison Falls and Budongo are kind of intertwined, with one leading to the other. Therefore this day will start with another walk in the forest for a last time, and then drive to Murchison falls. The landscape is beautiful; the land transforms into a plane as you head to the bottom of the Nile.

DAY 4 | GAME DRIVE & BOAT RIDE | MEAL PLAN: HB
This morning we will depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest Park returning later to the lodge of stay for a hearty breakfast.

In the afternoon take part in a boat cruise which goes right to the base of the falls where the Nile thunders through a small 7 meter gap plunging 43 meters down into the River Nile. There’s an option of getting off the boat and hiking to the top of the falls. The hike is fairly easy and the view from the top is well worth every effort.

DAY 5 | KIBALE FOREST NP | MEAL PLAN: HB
After breakfast we will leave Murchison Falls for Kibale Forest NP. The road has been worked upon; therefore expect a smoother ride for a while. Having lunch at a recommended restaurant en-route, you will have an opportunity to enjoy a local delicacy if you choose.

DAY 6 | CHIMP TREKKING & BIGODI WALK | MEAL PLAN: HB
Activity One: This morning, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in their natural habitat that is by far the best place to see these primates. This is your first chance to get up-close to our closest relative in the animal kingdom. Spend the whole morning in the forest returning to the lodge in time for lunch.

Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is managed by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental organization with the aim of supporting the development for local communities especially in the Bigodi area. It’s an excellent sustainability activity that directly supports the locals within the Kibale Forest area.

Activity Two; Later in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity of a guided walk through Bigodi Swamp. This swamp is a home to approximately 137 bird species and it’s also rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus.

The day ends with dinner and Overnight at Lodge.

DAY 7 | TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH | MEAL PLAN: HB
Today we head further south to the famed land of tree climbing lions – Queen Elizabeth NP where we will spend two nights soaking up more wildlife sightings and landscapes. The drive is about 3 hours which means at arrival in the park, there’s a chance to have a game drive en-route your lodge of stay.

DAY 8 | GAME DRIVE & BOAT RIDE | MEAL PLAN: HB
Activity One; from old and direct observation, game drives are best done in the morning therefore we will go for one as a way to acquaint ourselves with the park. Possible to view are lion prides, antelopes, elephant and buffalo herds, to mention a few. We will then drive back to our lodge for a hearty breakfast. Depending on your energy levels, you may decide to wait until the afternoon activity, or do a short crater lakes drive around the park.

Activity Two; In the afternoon we will take part in a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel where chances of seeing Hippos huff and spray mere feet away from the boat are high. Other sightings may include Buffalos lingering in the shallows and Elephants awarding the boat cruisers with their presence. The park is also known for incredible variety of birds and some may be seen while on the boat.

This beautiful day ends with dinner and overnight at a comfy lodge.

DAY 9 | TRANSFER TO BWIINDI NP | MEAL PLAN: HB
On this beautiful day we leave for Bwindi Forest, home to endangered mountain gorillas. Along the way is Ishasha sector famed for tree climbing lions. We will do a short game drive en-route and if lucky, see some lions on fig trees either so full from a feed or ready to pounce on non-suspecting Uganda Kob.

We will arrive in the early evening hours for a rest in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trek.

DAY 10 | GORILLA TREKKING | MEAL PLAN: HB
One of the absolute highlights of your itinerary is Tracking Gorillas. You will have a very early breakfast, and take your lunch boxes ordered the previous night. At 7: 00 am, Uganda Wildlife park entry for a pre-briefing at which point we will be assigned guides, armed rangers and asked if we’d like to engage a porter.

Upon meeting them, you are allowed 1 hour to earn their trust and document their behavior and beauty. We will then trek back to the starting point, but one cannot deny the unique experience that’s worth doing time and time again.

Day ends with reminiscing about the day with dinner and
overnight at a comfortable lodge/guesthouse.

DAY 11 | TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NP | MEAL PLAN: HB
Wake up early for breakfast and after leave Bwindi Forest for Lake Mburo national park. We will arrive in the early afternoon, check in and rest. Later on, we may do a game drive in the park to familiarize ourselves with this small gem.

The park is famous for large zebra herds, giraffes, reedbucks, hyena, topi, impala, eland, and buffalos well as leopards however elusive they may be.

Later drive back to lodge/guesthouse for dinner and overnight.

DAY 12 | DEPARTURE | MEAL PLAN: BB
Marking our last safari day is an optional game walk in the park before embarking on our journey to Entebbe. En-route we will make several stops like the equator where you will stand in two hemispheres at the same time. At the equators stop are souvenir shops incase there’s need to get some.
