DAY 1 | ARRIVAL IN KIGALI | MEAL PLAN: BB
Arriving at the airport you will be warmly welcomed by a Dust Absolut Safaris representative, and transferred to your hotel in Kigali for the night.
DAY 2 | TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST | MEAL PLAN: HB
After an early breakfast, we will head to Nyungwe forest home to habituated chimpanzees and also other primate’s species like the Ruwenzori Black & White Colobus. The park is also a birdwatcher’s delight with over 300 species, including 16 endemics.
Along the way you may stop over at the King’s Palace and The Ethnographic Museum in Huye. You may have lunch here and then proceed to Nyungwe Forest arriving in the early evening hours. For the adventurer, possible to do is Hiking and biking in the beautiful terrain.
This beautiful day ends with dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge.
DAY 3 | CHIMP TRACKING & CANOPY WALK | MEAL PLAN: HB
On This third day must start early as exciting activities await us. First, we will go chimpanzee tracking deep in Nyungwe Forest after a pre-brief at the park headquarters.
With a guide and ranger, walk through stunning landscapes before entering the thick luscious forest. Almost immediately, sounds of chimpanzees grunt, screech and whimper are heard. Once found, visitors are allowed an hour with them. Afterwards, head back to the lodge for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, if interested take a canopy walk.

DAY 4 | TRANSFER TO LAKE KIVU | MEAL PLAN: HB
On this day we will drive north-westwards to Lake Kivu – one of the great lakes of the region located at the border of Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. The lake is ideal for rest and relaxation. Along the route are magnificent views of the land of thousand hills and beautiful shores.
This day ends with dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge
DAY 5 | OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES | MEAL PLAN: HB
Spend the morning relaxing at the Lake before transferring to Volcanoes National Park in the afternoon. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas, golden monkeys and spectacular scenery with diverse vegetation.

DAY 6 | GOLDEN MONKEYS OF DIANE FOSSEY | MEAL PLAN: HB
Activity of the day; Golden Monkey trek, Diane Fossey hike or Gorilla Tracking.
This morning you can either take a trip to visit the endangered Mountain Gorillas, Golden Monkeys or the Dian Fossey resting place. This is a fun and adventurous way to see and experience the forest.
This day ends with dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge.
DAY 7 | CITY TOUR & DEPARTURE | MEAL PLAN: BB
You will then drive to Kigali city for a city tour for an authentic outlook of this town, which is a vibrant commercial center.
